Inviting Players & Join Requests

Methods for Inviting Players
Dungeon Manager provides three flexible ways to build your party:
1. Email Invitations
- In your campaign's Players section, enter the player's email address and click Send Invitation.
- The player receives an email with an action link. Unregistered users are prompted to create a free account first.
- Automated reminder emails are sent after 48 hours if unanswered.
2. Shareable Join Link & Preview Pages
- Copy the unique Join Link from the Players panel to share in Discord or group chats.
- Recipients see a stylized Invite Preview page (
/invitations/{token}/preview) displaying your campaign's premise, house rules, and active party size before joining. - DMs can click Regenerate Link at any time to invalidate old links.
3. Request-to-Join Public Discovery
- Public campaigns on Campaign Discovery feature a Request to Join button.
- Interested players submit a join request with an optional note and preferred character class.
- DMs receive a notification and can review, approve, or decline requests from the Campaign Player Manager queue.
Managing Roles & Permissions
- Player — Full player portal access, character sheet management, combat actions, and party loot claiming.
- Co-DM — Shared DM permissions: run combats, manage NPCs, edit session plans, and invite players.
- Spectator — Read-only access for guest players or listeners.
