Character Details

Backstory

Alaric was a knight-errant who swore his Oath of Vengeance after a vampire lord destroyed his village and turned his family. He spent three years hunting the creature across the Sword Coast before finally destroying it — but the victory was hollow. The mists of Barovia claimed him soon after, as if the Dread Lord had been watching and wanted to test a vampire hunter against the greatest vampire of all. Now trapped in Strahd's domain, Alaric faces a foe beyond anything he has encountered: an immortal tyrant who has had centuries to perfect his cruelty. His oath burns bright, but Barovia has a way of extinguishing even the fiercest lights.

A grim-faced knight in weathered plate armor marked with symbols of the sun. A longsword with a silver-inlaid blade hangs at his side, and a battered shield bearing a radiant sun emblem is strapped to his back. His expression rarely softens, and his eyes carry the weight of loss.
