Serena was a junior priestess in a temple of Mystra in Silverymoon when the Spellplague annihilated the Weave and killed the goddess. While other clerics lost their powers, Serena found hers transformed — divine radiance flowed through her with a purity she had never felt before. She believes Mystra placed a fragment of divine power within her as a failsafe before dying, and that she is meant to carry it until the Weave can be restored. Whether this is true prophecy or desperate faith, Serena has become a beacon of hope for those devastated by the plague.
