Character Details
Erasmus was a physician in a quiet village in Darkon before the Mists came for him. One night, a vampire lord descended upon his village and slaughtered his wife and children while he hid, paralyzed with terror, in the cellar. The shame of his cowardice drove him to the brink of madness, but instead of breaking, he forged himself into a weapon. He spent years studying the undead — their weaknesses, their habits, their lairs — and trained himself in the arts of war. Now he stalks the Domains of Dread as a Gloom Stalker, invisible in darkness, hunting the monsters that prey upon the innocent. But each kill brings him less satisfaction than the last, and he fears he is becoming something as cold and merciless as the creatures he destroys.
"I keep a journal cataloguing every monster I have encountered — their weaknesses, their patterns, their destruction. Knowledge is the sharpest blade."
"Duty. Someone must stand between the innocent and the darkness. If not me, then who?"
"I carry a locket with a painted portrait of my wife and children. Their faces remind me why I fight, even when the darkness whispers that it is futile."
"I have grown cold and distant, unable to form meaningful connections. I tell myself it is to protect others, but in truth, I am afraid to lose anyone ever again."

A lean, haggard man with hollow cheeks and dark-circled eyes that have seen too much horror. His movements are precise and economical, betraying the discipline of a man who has honed himself into a living weapon against the undead.
