Character Details

Backstory

Pippa grew up in a halfling burrow community near Daggerford, where she was always getting into places she wasn't supposed to be — the mayor's locked study, the merchant's sealed warehouse, the old haunted mill on the hill. When a traveling adventurer showed her a lockpick set and taught her the basics, Pippa knew she'd found her calling. She made her way to Waterdeep and the Yawning Portal, where she fell in with dungeon-delving parties who needed someone small enough to squeeze through narrow passages and skilled enough to disarm the traps waiting on the other side. Pippa doesn't seek glory — she seeks the gleam of gold in a treasure chest and the satisfying click of a lock surrendering.

Personality Trait

"I pocket small shiny objects without thinking about it. I always give them back. Usually."

Ideal

"Curiosity. If someone built a trap to guard something, that something must be worth finding."

Bond

"I send half my treasure home to my family in Daggerford. They think I'm a merchant."

Flaw

"I can't leave a trap undisarmed or a lock unpicked. It's a compulsion."

A tiny, bright-eyed halfling who moves with the silent grace of a cat. She wears dark leather armor fitted to her small frame, with dozens of pockets sewn into her vest and belt, each containing a different tool. Her lockpick set hangs in a leather roll at her hip like a surgeon's instruments.
