Character Details

Backstory

Lirien spent years as a con artist in Darkon, exploiting the superstitions of frightened villagers who feared her fiendish appearance. She sold fake protective charms and forged holy relics until the night a real vampire came for one of her marks — a family she had just swindled out of their savings for a worthless "ward." She watched them die and couldn't look away. In her guilt and desperation, she cried out for help, and a celestial answered — a being of pure light that offered her a second chance. Now Lirien wields genuine holy power through her celestial pact, hunting the undead across Ravenloft to atone for every life her frauds failed to save.

"I'm uncomfortably honest now. Lying physically hurts me, like a warning from my patron."

Ideal

"Redemption. I cannot undo what I was, but I can choose what I become."

Bond

"I owe a debt to every person my lies put in danger. I pay it one monster at a time."

Flaw

"I don't believe I deserve the celestial's gift, and I'm terrified it will be taken away."
