Backstory

Born to a minor Oeridian noble house in the Domain of Greyhawk, Lysara showed prodigious magical talent from a young age. She studied at the University of Magical Arts under several masters, but her insatiable curiosity led her to delve into texts that her mentors considered unwise. She became fascinated by the lost magic of the Suel Imperium and the secrets of Zagig Yragerne, the Mad Archmage who built Castle Greyhawk. After being quietly expelled from the University for unauthorized experiments, she now funds her research through adventuring, seeking ancient Suel ruins and forgotten libraries throughout the Flanaess.

Personality Trait

"I speak in overly technical arcane jargon even when simple words would suffice. Knowledge is its own form of power."

Ideal

"Knowledge. There is no such thing as forbidden knowledge, only knowledge that the fearful refuse to pursue."

Bond

"I discovered a fragment of a Suel spellbook that hints at magic lost since the Rain of Colorless Fire. I will find the rest at any cost."

Flaw

"My hunger for arcane knowledge blinds me to the consequences of my actions. I have already burned bridges I may one day need."
