Backstory

Brennan grew up as an orphan in the Spires of the Morning, Lathander's grand temple in Waterdeep. Raised by the clergy, he showed an unwavering faith from childhood and was inducted into the Order of the Aster as a squire at fourteen. During his vigil of knighthood, he experienced a vision of a great darkness sweeping across the Sword Coast, countered only by warriors willing to carry the Morninglord's light into the deepest shadows. Now a fully anointed knight, he travels the Trade Way seeking to aid those in need and to investigate rumors of growing evil along the coast. His earnest faith is both his greatest strength and his most exploitable weakness.

Personality Trait

"I see the potential for goodness in every person and believe redemption is always possible, even for the most wretched souls."

Ideal

"Hope. Every dawn is proof that darkness is never permanent. We must be the light that guides others."

Bond

"The Spires of the Morning in Waterdeep are my home, and the clergy who raised me are my family. I will protect Lathander's faithful with my life."

Flaw

"My unshakeable belief in the goodness of others has led me into traps more than once. I struggle to accept that some people are truly beyond redemption."
