Backstory

Fizzwick was a promising student at a gnomish academy when he accidentally blew the roof off the alchemy lab during an experiment involving phlogiston and firebolt cantrips. Expelled but undeterred, he signed on as navigator aboard a spelljammer trading vessel and discovered his true calling: mapping the uncharted reaches of wildspace. Over fifteen years, Fizzwick has cataloged seventeen crystal spheres, discovered three previously unknown asteroid clusters, and been banned from four major spaceports for "unauthorized detonations in dock." His maps are the most accurate in the known spheres, and his reputation for explosive problem-solving precedes him everywhere.
