Erasmus grew up in the village of Vallaki, living under Strahd's shadow without knowing it. When a werewolf pack attacked his village and slaughtered his family, a traveling monster hunter saved him and took him as an apprentice. For ten years, Erasmus learned the craft — how to identify a vampire by its feeding pattern, how to forge silver ammunition, how to survive in a domain where the land itself conspires against you. His mentor disappeared into the Mists three years ago, and Erasmus now hunts alone, following cold trails through the Domains of Dread, searching for his lost teacher and destroying every monster he finds along the way.
