Character Details

Backstory

Alistair was a scholar at the University of Drakkenheim studying crystallography when the meteor struck. He survived the impact but was trapped in the ruins for days, exposed to raw delerium contamination that seeped into his body and mind. Something spoke to him through the crystals — an entity from beyond the stars that rode the meteor to the world. It offered him power in exchange for service, and in his desperation, Alistair accepted. Now he returns to the contaminated city, drawn by compulsions he cannot fully resist, seeking to understand the alien intelligence that whispers through the delerium and wondering whether understanding it will save him or complete his transformation into something no longer human.

Personality Trait

"I absently stroke the delerium shard embedded in my forearm when I'm thinking."

Ideal

Bond

"The University of Drakkenheim held knowledge that must not be lost. I will recover what I can."

Flaw

"I am drawn to delerium like a moth to flame. Each exposure makes the whispers louder."

A haggard man in a stained scholar's coat who looks like he hasn't slept properly in months. His mismatched eyes — one natural brown, one contamination-violet — give him an unsettling, asymmetric gaze.
