Character Details
Aldric served fifteen years in the Eastmarch militia, rising to sergeant before a lance wound to the knee forced him into early retirement. He settled into a quiet life as a carpenter in the village of Thornfield, content to swap war stories over ale and build furniture that would outlast him. Then the letter came — penned in the shaking hand of his old captain, begging for help against gnoll raiders that the undermanned garrison couldn't repel. Aldric oiled his chainmail, sharpened his longsword, and walked out the door without locking it. Some debts don't expire.
"I can stare down a hell hound without flinching. I've faced worse."
"Greater Good. Our lot is to protect those who cannot protect themselves."
"I would still lay down my life for the people I served with."
"I'd rather eat my armor than admit when I'm wrong."
