Perfect starter adventure. Good pacing for new players and the quest board format means you never feel lost about what to do next. The DM adapted encounters well for our party size and made Phandalin feel like a real town. Highly recommend for anyone new to D&D.
Really enjoyed the sandbox feel. Being able to pick quests from the board and tackle them in any order gave our party a great sense of agency. The manticore fight at Umbrage Hill was a highlight.

The Gnomengarde session was hilarious. Our rogue tried to convince the gnomes he was a health inspector. Great improv from the whole table.
