Character Details
Garrett was born into a minor Solamnic noble family that traced its lineage back to the great knight Vinas Solamnus himself — a claim that brought more ridicule than respect in the years after the Cataclysm. When the people of Ansalon turned against the Knights of Solamnia, blaming them for the destruction the gods had wrought, Garrett's family lost their lands and titles. He was raised on stories of honor and duty by his grandmother, the last true believer in the family. When the true gods began to return and clerical magic stirred once more, Garrett was among the first to hear the call of Kiri-Jolith. Now he wields divine power that many thought lost forever, determined to prove that the Knighthood — and the gods — are worthy of Ansalon's trust again.
"I recite the Oath and the Measure under my breath when I am afraid. The old words give me strength when nothing else can."
"Honor. Est Sularus oth Mithas — My Honor Is My Life. The Measure is not a burden; it is a compass."
"My grandmother's sword, passed down through seven generations of Brightblades, is my most sacred possession. I will restore our family's honor or die trying."
"I am rigid in my adherence to the Measure, even when flexibility might save lives. I would rather fail honorably than succeed through deception."

A sturdy, square-jawed man with the bearing of a soldier and the earnest eyes of a true believer. He wears old but lovingly maintained plate armor etched with the kingfisher crest of his family, and a heavy warhammer bearing the symbol of Kiri-Jolith hangs at his side. Despite the scorn the world has heaped upon his order, he carries himself with unshakeable dignity.
